Tahun 2014 telah hampir ke penghujung..seperti tahun2 sebelumnya aku akan keluar ride ke negara siam...sekali setahun cukuplah...jadi tahun ni masih tak bekesempatan sehinggalah bulan Disember lepas...nasib baik kilang aku buat shutdown seminggu..maka senanglah aku nak cuti... rancangan nak tutup seminggu tu dah lama aku dengar cuma tarikhnya tak dapat di pastikan lagi..

Up till then I cannot possibly commence my usual ride to the said destination until I get the official confirmation that the plant where I work will conduct a shutdown exercise for a period of one week, which is enough for me to take an official leave for the same period.

The long awaited moment has come.
29/12/2014 0100 hrs I begun my ride, moving towards the northern border of
Malaysia of Bukit Kayu Hitam, and this marked my solo ride.
DAY 1
Selesai urusan kastam dan imegresen di sempadan...tanpa berlengah aku terus menuju destinasi ke utara dan bercadang ride sejauh yang boleh sebelum berhenti rehat untuk check point pertama..lagipun awan agak gelap kat depan so sementara tak hujan baik kita ride...

| badan dah ada tanda2 penat...perut pun dah start main lagu reggae...kasi recharge tenaga dulu... Fatigue set in, and the tummy started to play the reggae beat. Well, it's a sign to stop, recharge and EAT!! |

| lokasi sebenar tak tau nak cakap tapi sebelum simpang ke Patthalung...ada sebuah pekan kecil dan restoran ni lepas skit dari traffic light untuk keluar dari bandar itu...anggaran dalam 500m kalau tak silap...sebelum restoran ni ada 1 lagi tapi tutup...so lepas traffic light jangan lah laju...kalau terlepas yang ni ada 1 lagi depan sikit...aku pilih yang ni sebab malas nak ke depan lagi..lagipun masa tu tak tau ada lagi ke tak kedai makan... The exact name of the place I cannot assure but there is a small town along the way..This restaurant is just nearby the treffic light heading to the north, approximately 500m, if I'm not mistaken.There is another restaurant before this one but it was closed. So after the traffic light, I can't speed because I might miss this place.But worry not, after this one there's another down the road. |

Pekerja kat restoran ni tak boleh berbahasa melayu apatah lagi berbahasa inggeris...so terpaksalah mode bahasa ayam-itik di aktifkan..selepas puas berbahasa isyarat menggoreng-aku nak nasi goreng(korang bayangkan lah mcm mana rupanya)mujurlah ada gambar...pekerja tu menunjukan menu mana yang aku nak makan..
The workers here could speak neither Malay nor English. We were like a chicken talking to a duck trying to understand each other. I had to think about all the body and sign languages that I used to know and finally showed them the” frying gesture” of weaving both my hands, each holding an imaginary ladle. You guys can just imagine how hard it was to visualize fried rice to them until I realized that there were pictures of the said menu on the wall which made me felt rather silly, although it helped solved the communication gap

was served... Yummy! But, the drink that came along with it was iced tea... No
sugar but it’s for free. Cold drink in the middle of a rainy day? It’s really
not cool... So, I ordered hot tea instead.

This one looks very thick and strong and possibly tastes very very sweet. But I was wrong because the taste was just nice, not too sweet and not too plain. |

When buying the ticket, it was highly recommended to show your motorbike's grant to avid extra charges.My Fz150i it was only charged THB190 |

| Akhirnya dah kat perut feri...senyummm...penat seharian ride terasa hilang berbaloi bila dah sampai tahap ni... Finnally..I was on board the ferry..No words candescibe my feeling...A lazy smile tells a lot of story...and all the tiredness was flown away....It was tottally a satisied feeling... |

sampai je ke pulau aku mengelilingi bandar kecil Na Thon untuk mencari hotel yang dicadangkan oleh seorang kawan aku...katanya dekat2 tu je tapi kena pusing la sebab jalan sehala..ada yang mencadangkan tido di Chaweng..tapi dengan keadaan dah malam..badan pun dah penat aku cuba cari dulu dekat2 jeti ni...

masa keluar dari jeti tu terpikir gak mana nak tuju dulu....masa ni lah gerak hati berfungsi...member dah pesan..kawasan tu sehala je..hotel yang di cari Hotel Winten...akhirnya jumpala jugak...mujur hotel tu tepi jalan besar je..kalau celah2 lorong...memang tak jumpa laa...
When I was about to exit from the jetty, I had been thinking where I should head first. Then I remembered that my friend had told me about the one way road and find the hotel first. Finally, I found the suggested hotel, Hotel Winten, which it was located just at the side of the road. So it was easy to find ..

dah jumpa aku terus masuk tanya..dalam hati berdoa..janganlah penuh...Alhamdulillah doa aku dimakbulkan...tanya harga...THB550 semalam...terus aku book 2 malam...hajat di hati nak tambah semalam lagi, kalau tak khatam pusing pulau ni. Tapi yang jaga kaunter tu kata kalau dua malam boleh...kalau tiga malam tak boleh..dah penuh katanya....so esok nak tak nak aku kena khatam pusing pulau ni..hoho...
On reaching the hotel I straight away went to book a room. Luckily, there were many rooms available and I booked for two nights. I was planning to stay there for three nights, but the room was only available for two nights. By hook or by crook, I have to finish my tour around the island latest by tomorrow.

| kelihatan jeti dari bilik hotel ku..tingkat 4...dah punggah barang dan mandi, aku turun tinjau sekitar hotel dan cari ada 1 kedai makan Islam...kedainya jumpa tapi dah tutup pulop...so terpaksala beli makanan dan minuman di 7-E sebelah hotel ni je...lepas tu aku makan santai kat anjung hotel sambil menikmati malam yang sunyi dan tenang.. The jetty can be seen from my rom in the 4th floor.After I checked in,un packed my bag and had my shower,I went out to walk arund nearby the hotel.I loked for muslim restauran t have my dinner but it was closed.S I had to buy some food and drinks from the 7-E which it is lcated just beside the hotel.. |

"Madam, I want this (pointing at the first food in the menu) and one hot
tea". I had to speak in English because this lady could not understand
Malay.
sambil tunggu makanan siap, aku pun menjamu mata menikmati pemandangan laut dulu..mata aku tertumpu ke suatu objek di tengah laut...dengan bantuan camera digital aku,aku zoom jauh..dan apa yang aku teka adalah betul..
While waiting for the food, I enjoyed seeing the breath-taking view of the sea. Later, I saw something on the sea, and with the help of my camera, I zoomed in to find out the object... and my guess was right.

kita tinggalkan awan mendung....harap hari ku disinari sang mentari...wiihuuuu...untuk ride dalam pulau ni ditambah pulak aku ride solo ni..mode 50-60kmj aku aktifkan...yelah..kot2 terlepas pemandangan cantik ke...atau sesuatu yang menarik dipandangan mataku, kan rugi...
I left the heavy clouds behind and continue the journey. I rode only 50-60 km/h because I didn't want to miss out any beautiful scenery.

The next stop was Bukit Khao Laem Ya...you can enjoy the sea view from this place..

| akhirnya aku jumpa 1 bengkel ni...aku try masuk tanya ada tak kabel untuk moto ni..setelah dibelek2 oleh pomen dan tokei kedai ni..mereka ada kabel yang boleh masuk untuk moto aku ni...siap tukar THB150...fuhh lega... Finally I found this workshop...I asked about the cable for my bike. Luckily, they have a cable that could fit my bike...they changed it and it cost me THB 150....I was relieved. |

It was relocated to a near by place called Big Buddha.. |

| kehadiran aku di sambut salah seekor pengawal Istana Predator...jangan risau...jaga adab ya...tempat ni lebih terkenal dengan panggilan big Buddha...sebab ada patung Budha yang besor amat... my arrival was welcomed by one of the guards of Palace of the Predators...don't worry you just mind your manners. This place is known as The Big Buddha.. |

lebih kurang 20min kat sini..aku gerak menuju ke tengah Bhoput untuk mencari 1 kedai makan berhadapan Hospital Bangkok...
I spend about 20minutes here before heading to Bhoput to look for a restaurant opposite the Bangkok Hospital.

| jumpa pun setelah berpusing2 dalam 1 kawasan kampung...hospital ni hospital swasta... at last I found the restaurant after scouting around the village area..the hospital is the private one.. |

| kalau aku ada sticker sendiri dah aku tepek kat situ...kat gerai ni,tokei dia boleh cakap melayu...so tak da masalah nak pesan makanan...aku pilih nasi goreng seafood dan teh ais je... If only I had my own sticker I would not hessitantly stick it here..the owner here can speak Malay so I got no problem with my order of fried rice laced with seafood, and iced tea. |

| budak kecik ni fasih berbahasa Melayu dialek Kelantan...agak kagum jugak la...yelaaa..ada yang aku jumpa orang tua dah tak boleh berbahasa Melayu sebab kekangan pengaruh orang Thai yang lain... This kid can converse in good Malay with a Kelantan dialect..I am quite touched by her ability because some of the elderly that I met here could not even utter a word of Malay due to the strong influece of the Thais culture... |

while having a short conversation with one of the elderly people of the village, I could not help noticing their kids playing rope skipping which I think kids in Malaysia has long forgotten about it..

when I reach at the zoo i quite disappointed it was close for the day..so I headed to the Namuang waterfall with was about 5kms away.

kehampaan sikit kat sini bila camera digital aku kehabisan bateri...nak harap camera hp..memang tak leh harap sangat memandang keadaan di dalam hutan munkin gelap...maklum la hp tak canggih mana...kalau gelap tak cantik gambarnya..so aku tangkap la sekelilng kawasan rekrasi ni...rehat sekejap menikmati udara segar hutan...lepas tu aku gerak ke hotel aku...
another disappoinment was when my camera ran out the battery and to relly to my handphone is know no because it cannot nite picture..I just snap a few picture of the surrounding area..i took short rest to enjoy fresh country air before i proceed to the hotel..

of kuaci. We talked and talked as if Kuala Lumpur was not on my mind. Then I
realized it was 11.00pm already and dragging my feet I was on the saddle again
before thanking the duo for the treats that night
this is just a beginning....
